For His Kingdom

1 Corinthians 16:13-14
Be watchful, stand firm in faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.

I opened my bible to this last night before bed and the words like jumped out at me. We need to be careful that we don't drift away from God. We need to have an anchor in God and stand firm in ONLY Him! So easily we can drift away from Him and do our own thing. And we end up making bad decisions and doing things not of God. But God still has His arms out stretched beckoning us to come back to Him. God is so amazing. He is the only treasure worth living for. The treasures of the world are all going to pass away. But our God is forever.


1 John 2:15
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world - the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions-is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with it's desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.
